Mark is well known for the vivid and saturated prints he produces. He operates a digital darkroom and controls the process from image capture to digital file optimization to the final output. Prints are available on a variety of surfaces, from linen canvas to the highest quality glossy and luster papers. The richness and detail of his prints are striking. They are rendered from the state of the art Epson 7800 using K3 Ultrachrome inks. These prints are very stable and last up to 100 years with proper care. Mark’s skills go well beyond the use of his camera. He has dedicated a considerable amount of time and energy understanding the entire process. His skills as a PhotoShop artist go well beyond simple optimization. He has pioneered many unique techniques with the digital medium. He feels that the capture of an image is only the first step in the creative process. The revered landscape photographer Ansel Adams stated “The negative is comparable to the composer’s score and the print to its performance.
